Born in the mid-century by the Minotti family in Valpolicella and now helmed by second-generation artistic director Alberto Minotti, Minotticucine is an exploration in the principles of minimalism and the dichotomy of art and functionality. Adding gravity to its mission, Minotticucine commissioned master of minimalism, Claudio Silvestrin, to deploy his design philosophy of purism and essentialism and apply it to the offering.
Its precision is flawless. Weight, balance and nature collide to create “silence to the eyes, peace for the spirit.” Expert craftsmen utilize only natural materials to assemble unique works of art that are timeless – beyond fads and trends. As nature molded our world’s most arresting environments, so too is Minotticucine delivering an exquisite kitchen experience, beyond the realities of contemporary life. Applying his philosophy, Alberto Minotti has achieved functionality despite the removal of the superfluous.
“Everything is minimized as if to deny human intervention on the elements: the handles, bases, taps and all those ostentatious details typical of traditional design disappear,” explains Jeanine Esquenazi, managing partner of Minotticucine Miami.
There is soul in its movement and simplicity. A sense of calm prevails when in its presence. The use of light within its environment is as natural as the rising sun. Minotticucine is a true protagonist of the domestic space, eliminating commonality and delivering a journey in strength and the power of natural elements.
Those who have embraced Minotticucine’s way of life include the likes of Elton John and Kayne West. Whether you are a global celebrity or not, Designing Miami encourages all architect and design professionals and enthusiast to visit Minotticucine’s Miami Design District showroom at 4100 North Miami Avenue.
A personal favorite, Incline (shown below), is a sculpture – a single material monoblock – that serves as an outdoor kitchen that your distinguished guests will not soon forget.
