Living on the EDGE
Exceptional Design Goes Everywhere – that’s EDGE Collections’ mantra. Bringing unique and contemporary wallpaper to Miami and beyond, founders Carl Pascuzzi and Phoebe St. Germain Fellows combined their talents of fine art, fashion, and interiors, to bring wall spaces to life with whimsical and dramatic patterns. EDGE specializes in designing and manufacturing large-format bespoke wallpapers, tiles, and textiles, and work with architects and designers to produce projects for residences, hotels, museums, and art exhibitions.
“We noticed there was a void in the market for modern wallpaper that reflected fashion, art, and contemporary design trends,” said St. Germain Fellows, Head Designer for EDGE Collections. “Carl and I both grew up with traditional patterns and prints, and we wanted to bridge the gap not only in the design but in the actual production process as well.”
For their designs, EDGE fuses multiple layers of original imagery creating narratives of a fantasy life; one in which elegance, symmetry, objets d’art and nostalgia go hand in hand. The company recently launched two new collections. The “l w l” (little white lines) collection, a departure from their typical dramatic patterns, represents a flowing movement of lines from one wall to the next resembling reflecting water. The second one consists of a group of panel-to-panel designs that can be installed based on the desire of the client. Each panel can rotate when installed to create a custom mural.
“Inspiration for our collections comes from elements of architecture, design, fashion, color, music and our travels,” said Pascuzzi, EDGE’s Creative Director. “We also create custom imagery and enjoy the winding road we travel, to get from inspiration to the final product.”
In addition to their original designs, EDGE loves to collaborate with other like-minded artists, companies, and brands. Most recently, they produced a fully immersive design atmosphere called “Agave Rendezvous” at Casacor Miami featuring their new works on custom, eco-friendly recycled wallcoverings along with a collaboration with window shade company Alva to create custom motorized window shades. EDGE also worked with Los Angeles-based tape artist Flëkz, to produce their “Ritmo” collection wallcoverings and fabrics that reflect his murals. They’ve also collaborated with artists Cristina Lei Rodriguez, Eric Beare and Mert Özgen and companies such as Fiat North America, Google, and Van Cleef & Arpels.
Next for EDGE, is a large public art project in Palmetto Bay with artist Kelly Lamb, and another project at the newly renovated Venezia Hotel in Miami Beach, where they’re working with the Hallock Design Group to design the headboards in all the guestrooms.
